It is casual fellowship in the Cafe this week. Join us at LAC...it will be warm in temperature and warm in friendship!
Our Club Calendar for July and August is now up on the website so if you are not sure what is coming up (and there are some great speakers lined up) check our our Project/Event page on the website. The DIstrict Group 5 and 6 Forum is on the 18th July 2012 at the Grand Chancellor from 6pm. It is a great opportunity to hear what other clubs in our region are doing. Please let Lou Mason or Toni Wagner know if you are going. Congratulations also to DG James and Kathy as you commence the year for District. We are sure you will have a wonderful year. PS: Social evening 20th July 2012 Don't forget the club is heading out to see Fawlty Towers at the Earl Arts Centre on 20th July 2012. If you have not booked your ticket, please see Alex this week. It should be a great night out!

The club enjoyed our changeover function at Lou's home. It was great to see members, family and friends there including ADG Chris Williams and his wife Karen. Congratulations were extended to Marcus Courtney for his year as President as well as reflection and thanks for each board member for their contribution. The club also recognised members Caroline Brown (Past President [2005-06]) and Judy McLean (OAM) as our two new Paul Harris Fellows. Lou's first meeting as President will be this week at Launceston Aquatic in the meeting room. BOFA is a celebration of fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to screen based story -telling which inspires positive change. The event is held at the Inveresk Precinct Launceston.
An innovation for 2012 is a Make a Difference Day on Sunday 11th November, which will be a free open day and fair providing an opportunity for everyone to have a fun day out – and to make a difference. Our club is delighted to be working with the team at BOFA and Volunteering Tasmania as we work to develop this new innovation for BOFA. Check out the information about Make A Difference Day and BOFA on this website as things develop http://bofa.com.au/2012/home/make-a-difference-day/ |
