Last week we had a fantastic shared meeting with the Tamar Valley Rotaract Club.   Our last outing with the Rotaract Club was laser tag skirmish – something that was very much enjoyed by both clubs.  It was good to again catch up –thank you very much to the Rotaract members who were up early to meet with us!

One of the priorities for the club this year is to strengthen our relationship with the Rotaract Club.  This was a theme that came out strongly in the Club’s planning sessions from earlier this year with ideas put forward such as shared meetings, combined vocational visits and a joint fundraiser.  We have a number of club members including Clare who have been great supporters of the Rotaract Club and have helped the group develop into a successful Rotaract club.  Jane, our Membership Director, will also be working with the Rotaract Club as the club’s official representative on implementing the planning session actions for this year. So far we have already had a shared meeting and we can expect to see a proposal for a joint fundraiser (possibly a casino night) presented to the club in the near future.

Coming up soon is the Club Assembly on Wednesday evening 16 October –please put this date in your diary as it’d be great to get a group from the club together for the assembly.  We won’t be holding an official meeting on this day so that it is not such a long day.
