Thanks to everyone who participated in our annual club planning day.

We reflected on our last twelve months and where we wish to head over the next year under Leigh's leadership.  The summary of the planning day will be forwarded under a separate email this week for members to comment on.

There will be some 'action' required from you all.  Firstly, you are asked to read the summary of the day and provide input and comments so that your thoughts are recorded.  Secondly, we ask you to consider the club projects that were endorsed for the year and thirdly, we will be asking you to consider whether there are any other projects you wish to propose through the club proposal process.  This information will all be collated in readiness for our board meeting later this month.

Thanks to Jann for organising such a wonderful venue and for Leigh and others who made some wonderful goodies for morning tea.

This week:
This week we have Carol Fuller talking to us from Zonta.    Carol will be informing us about a forum coming up on 13 June at the Tailrace on celebrating 'making a difference'.

The member's minute this week will be from Leigh as she summarises what was discussed at the Planning Day.

Changeover lunch:
We need to commence our planning for changeover.  Here are the details for the venue:

Booking is for lunch on Sunday 5th July 2015 (also Warwick's birthday!!).    The venue is Rosevears Waterfront Tavern.
A bus will leave from Sportsmans Hall in Launceston at 12pm.  Cost is $10 per person.  Menu is Al la carte.
Return to Launceston by 3pm.

Please RSVP to [email protected] if you are attending for Lunch and also yes/no if you wish to confirm seat on bus.

Hey everyone, what a great birthday party we had with Rotaract last week.  It was a fantastic night to reflect on where both clubs have come from.  Special recognition to our charter members, past presidents, presidents and District Governor Elect (and Lesley) who attended.  Friends, partners and members made it a great evening, particularly as we enjoyed the innovation to some classic party games organised by Susan N and Kathy.  Thanks to all who organised the evening and made it the fun event it was.  Now onto the 20th and 10th (well that WILL be huge!).

This week at Tamar Sunrise we have our guest speaker Carmen from Family Violence, Children and Young People Program.

Our members minute will be Leigh who will report on the District Assembly at Cressy District High School.

Sunday 30th May - Club Planning Day 10-2pm with lunch provided.  The venue will be confirmed in a separate email early this week.    Please RSVP to [email protected] if you are attending (for catering purposes).

A great effort by all club members and friends who greeted Agfest patrons on Saturday.  Thank you everyone as it was a brilliant effort. Thanks must also go to Callum and Jeremy at Rotaract for their assistance.   We had wonderful feedback from security as to how professional and welcoming we were.

This week:

We have a club board meeting.  Agenda items have been forwarded to the Secretary (the wonderful Danny) and all information should be circulated early this week.

Our member's minute is Clare Klapche.  Clark will also be introducing David Marszalek as a prospective new member.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is on this week at Camp Clayton Ulverstone.  Tony Butler (our Rotaract member) is really looking forward to attending.

If you have some time available, the welcome dinner is on Friday night this week at club members are invited to attend.  Please contact Jenny Sims at RC Ulverstone or Callum Bartley at Rotaract if you wish to attend.

We wish Peta all the best for her birthday this week.  Speaking of birthdays, keep the following free and make sure you RSVP if not already done so - it should be a great night.

Next week...well of course we have our birthday celebrations!  So it will be casual at Hotel Launceston at Titanium Bar and Cafe for those who are not able to attend the birthday event in the evening!

Have a great week week everyone.
