Our Guest speaker this week was Denise Talbot from Days for Girls International. A sustainable female hygiene program, with a vision that every girl in the world has ready access to quality sustainable hygiene by 2022. Denise spoke passionately about what some girls have to endure: the days of isolation, days of shame, days of missing school, days of lost income, days lost due to lack of access to feminine hygiene products. Days for Girls kits change all this for girls around the world. Month after month, recipients can count on quality, practical and sustainable solutions that are funded and hand crafted with love by thousands of dedicated volunteers worldwide. Tasmania has four Chapters. Denise’s Chapter meet every second Saturday 9.30-2.00 ( Bring your own lunch) at the Catholic Parish House in Longford. They also meet mid week. All donations and volunteers are welcome for more details please contact Denise at launcestonareatas@daysforgirls.org or 0419 370 646.
