This week we had a very special farewell breakfast for one of our founding members , David Dunn who is moving to Hobart for work. Lou Mason spoke about David's fabulous contribution to the club and the Launceston Community, in particular his involvement in Carols, Festivale and Agfest has been outstanding. David is known for his straight thinking, great organisation skills and passion for excellence. He knows everyone and has been a tireless worker in ensuring that our club has grown and prospered. For the past year David has been our fines sergent and it his quick wit and ability to embellish a good story that has endeared him to all. We will all miss David, however our loss is the Rotary Club of Salamanca's gain and we wish David every success with his new position and hope that he will remain a regular visitor whenever he is in the North. Also at the meeting Toni gave feedback about our upcoming cocktail party to be held at Walkers Design Studio -(Charmers Church ) on September 25. All members are asked to mark this date in their diary and to start sending Toni a list of guests to be invited as we would like to get the invitations out as soon as possible.
