Despite thunder and lightning and torrential rain, the diligent members of Tamar sunrise braved the elements to attend our weekly meeting. We were extremely pleased to welcome Marrissa, who we hope will be joining our club after a long association of helping us out with our signature events and Jeremy Garvey who is the new president of the Rotoract Club of Tamar Valley.
This week was a catch up week with the final points from last month's Board meeting tabled and discussed. Highlights being that Alicia Bushby has put her hand up to be treasurer elect this year and that planning for Carols is already well underway. Danny spoke of some of the new innovations and advised the club that the first meeting would be in August. All interested members are more than welcome to attend. Susan Nolan also gave an impromptu member's minute of her arrival in Australia as a young girl from Scotland and her impressions of the outback and Alice Springs where she lived for two years. The Domestic committee also met this week not only to finalise this years charities and causes but also to continue preparing for our Cocktail Party in September . Dates to remember : Wednesday 29th July meeting at 7.00am at the Car Museum $10.00 ( no breakfast ) 6.30pm Drinks and fellowship at the Royal Oak Thursday 30th July -Cocktail committee meeting 7.00am Cube Aqua- all welcome
