There is NO formal meeting this week due to the Group 5/6 Forum.

For those members and visitors who still wish to gather for a morning chat this Wednesday, a casual get-together will be in the Cafe side at Hotel Launceston.

For those attending the Group 5/6 Forum, here are the details:

RSVPS have been provided for Jann, Susan N, LouM, Jane, Danny and Caro.  If you have NOT rsvpd and wish to attend, please phone the Boathouse to book.

It is to be at the Boathouse, Northbank, Launceston. We'll meet at 6pm for a 6:30 start.  Cost $28pp pay at the door.

Our first speaker is Rick Marton, of the Rotary Club of Central Launceston. Rick is fairly new to Rotary, and is a dynamic speaker. He is a Brand and Culture Strategist, and he will talk on why he joined Rotary, what he enjoys about it and where he thinks we can improve it. There will be a general discussion about some of the issues he is going to raise.

Our second speaker is Matthew Verney, of the Devonport Rotary Club. Matthew is AG for Group 7, as well as the North/ North  West District Mediator on Conflict Resolution Support. Matthew will speak on the forthcoming new Legislation on working / Volunteering with vulnerable people and our responsibilities in that area.

There is some excellent entertainment from some of our young musicians.

Caro and Janice will also be visiting Rotaract this Wednesday - although Caro will be only having a short visit before attending the Group 5/6 Forum.

Prepare for "Bring a Friend" Day Wednesday 22nd October 2014

Our guest speaker will be Kim Curley from Alzheimer's Australia (Tas).

This will be a great session for us all as we learn more about Alzheimer's in our community.  We will also enjoy catching up with some old and new faces!

Please advise Caro whether you will be bringing a guest by Monday 20th October to [email protected] so that we can make arrangements with Hotel Launceston for catering numbers.
